FIRST EUROPEAN INVESTMENT FORUM ON ethiopia
MEDEF International organized the first European Investment Forum on Ethiopia, bringing together more than 120 European companies and the Government of Ethiopia, represented by :
- Dr Gedion Timotheos, Minister of Foreign Affairs;
- Mr Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance alongside the European Union and several international development partners.
The high-level Ethiopian delegation included :
- Dr Zeleke Temesgen Boru (Ph.D), Commissioner, Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC);
- Dr Brook T., CEO, Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH);
- Mr Mesfin Tasew Bekele, CEO, Ethiopian Airlines;
- Dr Fisseha Yitagesu, CEO, Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC).
This conference provided a real opportunity to advance several key strategic projects :
- Development of Bishoftu Airport
- Renewable energies
- Transport, logistics, and infrastructure
- Technology and Artificial Intelligence
Companies are entering into long-term partnerships with Ethiopia, a country of over 130 million people and rich in opportunities.
